Today we had a confined water session for Scuba Diver course at Sunabe Seawall.

The student was Jacob from HongKong.
He just ran a full marathon yesterday and came for diving today. How fit!!

And he was very good underwater. All the skills was done in a relaxed state and he is now ready for going deep.

How was the first time scuba diving? It was fun, wasn't it? You will have more fun tomorrow for sure.

今日は砂辺でスクーバダイバーコースの初日・限定水域を行ってきました。

ゲストはジェイコブ、香港からです。
彼は何と昨日フルマラソンを走って、そして今日からダイビングコースを３日間受講します。なんてタフな。

そんな彼は水中でもとてもリラックスしてました。スキルもサクサクこなして、まあ飲み込みが早い。明日からも楽しみです。

ジェイコブ、今日はおつかれさま。
初めてのダイビングはどうだった？勝手の違いはあったあろうけど、楽しんでくれたかな？明日はもっと楽しいはず。

今日はゆっくり休んで、また明日の朝ねー。

Today we went to Manza for fun diving.

The guest was Daphne from Italy.
She was here for a week and came for diving today before leaving for home.

今日は万座でファンダイビングしてきました。

ゲストはダフネ、イタリアからです。
彼女は沖縄に１週間の滞在で、明後日帰る前に大好きなダイビングをしに来てくれました。

今日は南風が吹いててコンディションがとても良く、ラッキーな一日に。

出会った生物はウミウシたくさん、どデカい昼寝中のアオウミガメ、ウツボたくさん、極小・オランウータンクラブ、タコ数匹、その他にも万座名物・ドリームホールをじっくり探検したり、と色々見てきました。

透明度も良く、気持ちのいい２ダイブになりました。

ダフネ、今日はありがとう。
沖縄のいい思い出になったかな？楽しんでくれたみたいで良かったです。

また一緒に潜れるのを楽しみに待ってます。
チャオチャオ。


そしてダイビング後の午後には、マリンレジャーの安全講習会に参加してきました。
知識やスキル等、色々リフレッシュしてきました。

Today we went to Kerama islands for fun diving.

Today was actually our first Kerama islands tour in 2016 since the sea condition had been too rough to go to the islands, which is typical in winter time in Okinawa.

The lucky guest was Raymond from HongKong.

He dove with us once last summer and came back to Okinawa this time.

And the weather and condition were just fantastic today. It was like summer. So we were able to dive at the sites usually not divable in winter time.

We saw three turtles in total, one hawksbill and two green turtles.

Three great dives in the islands with lots of stuff to see.

It really was nice to dive with you again. How did your photos turn out? Hope you got some good shots.

今日はケラマ諸島までファンダイビングに行ってきました。

よく考えてみると、実は今日が今年初のケラマでのダイビング。冬は海が荒れがちなので、行ける機会もグッと減っちゃうんですねー。

そしてラッキーな今日のゲストは、香港から来てくれたレイモンド。
彼は去年の夏に一度潜りに来てくれているリピーターさん。ありがとーございます。

そして今日はもうコンディションが抜群！空には太陽が輝く夏日、そして選択肢も増える南風、ともう言うことなし。なので夏場のポイントで潜ってきました。

出会った生き物は、ウミウシたくさん、ウミガメ２種類３匹、ケラマブルーに映えるキンギョハナダイをはじめとした無数のカラフルな魚達、ウミヘビ、ウツボ、モンハナシャコ、等々。
レイモンドもマイカメラ持参で色々撮ってました。

うん、ホントに気持ちのいい３ダイブでした。

レイモンド、今日はありがとう。
ホントにいい日に来れたね。写真はどうだった？また子供達と潜りに来てくれるのを楽しみに待ってます。

Time flies!!
Today was the last day of our Yonaguni trip in February.
Thanks Rom and Elle for diving with us for almost a week. Will miss you guys for sure!!

We had a strong south wind today and the hammerhead sharks area was pretty rough. However, we tried there for the 1st dive and saw a few swimming very deep. I will be back to see you guys!

And the 2nd and 3rd dive were somewhere nice and calm to enjoy Yonaguni diving. Yes, Yonaguni offers not only hammerheads and the underwater monument but also many great dive sites.

We bumped into two young Yonaguni horses being on a date. Sorry to interrupt.

And time to pack up our gear.

We had great three days in Yonaguni island.
We dove the underwater monument, encountered with a school of over 200 hammerheads sharks, and explored other fantastic dive sites. Diving here is just awesome.
Also thanks everyone who we met here. You guys made our stay here memorable.

So we decided to have one last Yonaguni tour in this season!!

来たと思ったら、もう最終日。楽しいときはあっという間。
はい、今日は与那国ツアーの最終日。もちろん３ダイブしてきました。

まずはハンマー狙いで波高３〜４mはあろうかという中、イリザキへ。
深場に数匹居たのは確認出来たけど、昨日のようには行きませんでした。また会いに来てやるっ。

そしてその後は穏やかな地形ポイントへ。
与那国はどうしてもハンマーヘッドと海底遺跡が騒がれるけど、実はその他のポイントも素晴らしいトコがたくさん。透明度のいい中、アーチ状の地形をくぐったり、ドロップオフ沿いを泳いだり、リーフに群れるカラフルな魚達を写真に撮ったり、と楽しんできました。

そしてダイビング終了後は島一周ツアーに。
日本再西端で記念撮影し、馬に威嚇され、断崖絶壁に立ち、隅から隅まで与那国島を味わってきました。

エル、ロム、約一週間のダイビング、ありがとう。さみしくなるね。本州行っても楽しんで。

Today was our Yonaguni Tour Day2 and our aim was nothing but hammerhead sharks.
"Team B".

Let's go.

In the 1st dive, we saw one hammerheads in the distance but saw a school of giant barracuda, a couple of giant trevally, and tuna. All huge size.

And in the 2nd dive, the moment came.
We encountered with over 200+ of hammerheads sharks. It was just spectacular!!
They swam with us for 5mins or so. Too bad that I couldn't get very close to them to take good shots.

And we saw a huge napoleon wrasse, a school of unicorn fish, etc, in the 3rd dive to wrap up the day.

We truly had great three dives today.

And tomorrow we are planning to chase hammerheads again, and some more fun dives.

今日は与那国ツアー・２日目。
目的は何はさておきハンマーヘッド。見たいっっ！！群れがっ！！

１本目はエントリー直後に遠くに１匹が見えたけどすぐにどっかに行ってしまいました。でもその後、オニカマスの群れ、ロウニンアジとイソマグロ数匹、と言う、大物祭りの匂いプンプンなスタートになりました。

そして２本目。その時が来ました。
２００匹オーバーのハンマーヘッドシャークの巨大な群れに遭遇。しかも５分くらいずっと一緒に泳いで行けました。圧巻の一言。
唯一残念だったのは、余り近寄れずにいい写真が撮れなかったこと。明日への課題です。

そしてあったかうどんを食べたあとの３本目は、これまた巨大なナポレオンフィッシュに会え、デッカイものに恵まれた３ダイブになりました。

そして明日はもちろんハンマーヘッド再挑戦。あとは地形とかも攻めれたらいいなー。
最終日、有終の美を飾ります。

Yonaguni, here we come!!

Today was the first day of our Yonaguni Tour in February.
The guests were Elle and Rom. Yeah, we made it!!

The weather was a lot warmer than Okinawa mainland and it really was like summer.

The 1st dive was a check dive at Iseki, "The Underwater Monument". What a luxury check dive!!

We did our 2nd dive at Irizaki for hammerhead sharks and saw two swimming a bit in the distance.
We had a great start of the tour after all.

And tomorrow we are planning to chase more hammerheads, why not!



やってきました与那国島！

今日は待ちに待った与那国ツアーの初日。
天気は快晴まるで夏、水温も２５度台と、もう気持ちが高ぶりが溢れてハジ出るかの様なコンディション。

ゲストは、本島で２日間一緒に潜ってくれたエルとロム。楽しもーぜー。

１本目はチェックダイブだけどポイントはかの有名な海底遺跡。なんてぜいたくなチェックダイブ。。。

抜群の透明度の中、城門、二枚岩、テラス、側溝、三角プール、カメのモニュメント、等々じっくり味わってきました。

そして２本目は、待ってました、イリザキ！！ハンマー狙いです。
エントリー後にいきなり２匹が登場と言うロケットスタートをかまし、その後も期待感は半端無かったけど、残念今日はそれだけでした。

とは言え、まあ素晴らしい初日になりました。

明日は本格的にハンマー狙ってきます！
