Today we went to Kerama islands for fun diving.

The guest was Veronika from Switzerland.
She is currently travelling in Japan and got a craving for diving in Kerama islands. You made it!

Veronika was actually dive master and was very good underwater.

Also she liked taking photos so we looked for whatever picturesque.

I saw something big swimming away, so chased it...

Then it turned out to be a shark. Veronika had never seen sharks before so was happy.

Thanks Veronika for coming and diving with us today. Hope you enjoyed diving in Okinawa.

今日はケラマ諸島までファンダイビングに行ってきました。

ゲストはヴェロニカ、スイスからです。
彼女はただいま日本を旅していて、そしてどうしてもケラマで潜りたい！！ということで今日来てくれました。

彼女は水中写真が好きでマイカメラを持参。二人で色々探しました。カメ、ウミウシ、小さなエビ＆カニ、カエルアンコウ、チンアナゴ、等々、色々見つけてはパシャッ。楽しー。

そんな中、ふと遠くに大きな魚が泳いでるのを見かけ追いかけてみると、サメでした。
ヴェロニカは今までサメを見たことがないらしく、大興奮。

ヴェロニカ、今日はありがとー。沖縄の海も気に入ってくれたみたいで良かった。
残りの沖縄＆日本の滞在も楽しんで、そして帰ってもダイビングしてね。

Today we had Scuba Diver course at Cape Maeda.

The guest was Chris from England. He is currently working in Japan.

Maeda was very calm today while the other shore dive sites were choppy, so there were many divers there.

Maeda is always good in visibility.

We saw many nudie branches as well.

We had a quick look at the cave in the 3rd dive.

Chris was very comfortable underwater and all the skills was done smoothly. Very good.

今日は真栄田岬でスクーバダイバーコースを行ってきました。

ゲストはクリス、イングランドからです。彼はただいま日本で働いてます。

今日は他のビーチダイビングのポイントが少し波が高かったこともあり、真栄田岬はホントにたくさんの人が来てました。少し早い夏のよう。

クリスはサーフィン等をやっていることもあってか、水にはとても慣れていて、スキルの方もサクサクとこなしていきました。それもあって自分は生物探しに集中。ウミウシ、アオリイカ、ツバメウオ、等々色々いました。

３本目には少し遠出して洞窟まで行き、今日は終了。

Wanna Learn Diving!!

今日は新たに１名の生徒さんと、スクーバダイバーコースの初日を行ってきました。

そんなマンツーマンの生徒はAさん、沖縄在住です。
最近石垣でスノーケリングをして、その水中の綺麗さにハマったらしく、今回はスクーバダイビングのライセンスを取りにきてくれました。

ギアのセッティング、ばっちり。

今日は初日なので、まずは勉強してきた（であろう）学科のおさらいから。
計算が苦手な様子。多分自分の質問の仕方も悪いんだろうな。

一通り復習したあとは、器材のセッティング。特に問題もなくサクサク進みました。Aさんは実践向きと見た。

そしていざ水の中へ。
波一つ無いこのスーパーなコンディション。

多少手こずる所もあったけど一通りこなして、無事終了。

Aさん、今日はおつかれさまー。
今頃は家で学科の復習してる頃かな？
次は来週です。今日覚えたこと・やったこと、忘れないでね。

Today we had Scuba Diver course starting with one student.

The guest was a local girl.
She did snorkelling in Ishigaki island recently and was amazed about the underwater world so decided to take a Scuba license course this time.

We started with a quick review of academic, then set up gears and went into the water.

She was one of the girl who learnt by doing, not by thinking.
Anyway it was all good after all.

Thanks A-san for coming today. How was the first time diving underwater?
Next session is in the middle of next week. I look forward to it.

Today we went to Kerama islands for fun diving.

The guest was Marie.
She became certified yesterday and came for fun diving today. Very eager for diving, good.

By the way, the water temperature today was 27C/81F!!!!!
It was around 24C/75F yesterday so changed drastically, more than 3C/6F. How did this happen?
It was so comfortable being underwater and I was thinking to start wearing 3mm. Summer is coming!!

Thanks Marie for diving with us for four days. Hope you had fantastic time here in Okinawa.
This is just a start so please go diving once in a while and I look forward to diving with you again sometime in the future.

今日はあいにくの空模様の中、ケラマまでファンダイビングに行ってきました。

ゲストはおなじみマリー。昨日認定で、今日は早速ファンダイビング。ダイビング大好きっ子です。

まずはいきなりカメとの遭遇。見たいっていってたから良かったねー。ふぅー。
その後も、どデカいハリセンボン、「あのミミズみたいなのは何？」ってあとから聞いてきたウミウシ、アカカクリのペア、青サンゴの上に群がる何万匹ものカラフルな魚たち、エビ、カニ、etc.
３本潜ってケラマの海の多様さに取りつかれてました。

それはそうと、今日の水温、２７度オーバー！！昨日より3.5度くらい上がってる！！どういうこと？潜りながら、３mmスーツの準備を考えました。

マリー、４日間ありがとねー。ホント日曜から考えたらとんでもない上達。いい沖縄旅行になってたらいいな。
これからも時間見つけては潜っていこう。そしてまたいつか一緒に潜れる日を楽しみに待ってまーす。

The weather and condition were still very good today, and we had Scuba Diver course Day 3 at Sunabe Seawall.

The guests were Marie and Zoe from Hong Kong. Two more dives to get certified.

Sunabe was at the best condition today. The visibility was very good and the surface was flat like a lake.

Marie and Zoe were totally different to how they had been in a pool session three days ago. Amazing how quickly people improve.

Well it was a bit rush today since we did many skills in two dives, but all done!!

Congratulations Marie and Zoe on completing the Scuba Diver course.
You two are now ready to explore the underwater world all over the world. And for the first, we will go to Kerama islands tomorrow - Of course no more mask clear, haha.

昨日に引き続きいい天気・抜群のコンデジションの中、今日は砂辺でスクーバダイバーコースの３日目を行ってきました。

ゲストはマリーとゾエ。無事進めばあと２ダイブで認定です。

それにしても今日の砂辺は最高のコンディション。水面は湖のようにフラットで、水中は透明度が抜群。暑すぎない夏の様で、とても気持ち良かったです。

マリーとゾエも、３日前のプールセッションから考えたら素晴らしい上達。言い方適当か分からないけど、生まれたての子鹿が転びながら、２〜３日で上手に歩けるようになってる感じ。うん、素晴らしい。

今日はちょっと詰め込み気味の２ダイブだったけど、無事全部こなし、はい、新しい２人のダイバーの誕生です。

マリー、ゾエ、おめでとう！！
ホントによく頑張ったねー。これからは世界中色んなトコで潜れるよ。その手始めに、まずは明日、ケラマです！！もちろんもうマスククリアもしなくていーよ（笑）。

今日はゆっくり休んで、明日の朝港で！！

It is in a rainy season here in Okinawa now and as the name says, it had been raining.
But today the sun showed up and the sea condition was good as well!! So we had Scuba Diver course Day2 at Sunabe Seawall.

The lucky guests were Zoe and Marie from Hong Kong.
See the sky behind, no wonder they were smiling.

The visibility was good as well.

The sunlight came thorough the surface, which made the corals more colourful.

Zoe and Marie were still working on the skills but got a lot used to the water. Great.

Thanks Zoe and Marie for coming today. How was the first time diving in the sea?
Tomorrow we have two more dives, so have a nice rest tonight and see you tomorrow morning!!

梅雨まっただ中の沖縄は、名前負けせずに梅雨入りしてからずっと雨。
でも今日、ついに太陽が顔を出し、海のコンディションもとてもいい！！潜れー！！

はい、そんな今日はホーム砂辺でスクーバダイバーコースの２日目を行ってきました。
ゲストはゾエとマリー、香港からです。

太陽は陸の上だけじゃなく、海の中でも輝いてて、そんな日はサンゴもひときわ色鮮やかに見えます。うん、とても気持ちいい。

二人はスキルにまだ少し手こずってはいたけど、上達のスピードがとても速い。頼もしいです。

ゾエ、マリー、今日はありがとう。初めての海でのダイビングはどうだった？
明日も朝からあるので、今日はゆっくり休んでね。
明日の朝を楽しみにしてます。

Today we had Scuba Diver course starting with three students.
It sometimes poured but we would get wet anyway!!

The guests were Chris on the pool side, and Zoe and Marie in a pool. Sorry it is not a very clear photo.

Some struggled a bit but they all made it in the end, so it was a good start after all.

今日は時折土砂降りの雨が降る中、プールでスクーバダイバーコースの初日を行ってきました。
生徒はクリス、マリー、ゾエの、雨なんてカンケーねーの３人。どうせ濡れるしー。

プールの前には１時間ほど学科のおさらいをしました。みんなとても優秀。

いざプールに入ると、やはり普段とは勝手が違うのか、苦戦することもしばしば。
でも最終的にはみんな一通りこなせました。うん、いいスタート。

マリー、ゾエ、クリス、今日はありがとう。もうみんな海でのダイビングはバッチシだね。
マリーとゾエ、明日は明後日に向けてゆっくりして。
クリス、土曜日を楽しみにしてまーす。
そして次はたくさん写真撮りますっ！！

Today we went to Kerama islands for fun diving.
The weather was not great but the sea condition was quite good.

The guests were a family of four, Stacy, Bruce, Kristina and Daniel from California.
They are visiting Okinawa so why don't they dive?

Kristina likes nudie branch and there was one right underneath the boat.

We had three nice dives in spire of the rainy weather.

今日はあいにくの梅雨空の中、ケラマまでファンダイビングに行ってきました。

ゲストはカリフォルニアから、ステイシー、ブルース、クリスティーナ、ダニエルの４人組です。沖縄には仕事兼家族旅行ってトコかな。

今日も海の中は楽しませてくれました。
まずはクリスティーナの大好きなウミウシが船の真下で出迎えてくれ、その後は、ヤッコエイ、神秘的な洞窟の様なクレバスを通り、カマスの群れにも遭遇。
２本目は自分の好きなポイント・渡嘉敷島の野崎で、枝サンゴの群生とそこに群れる無数のカラフルな魚を満喫し、ランチ後の３本目では、カメと遭遇し、クマノミも５種類見ました。
まあ盛りだくさんな３ダイブでした。


みんな今日は来てくれてありがとう。
水の中だけでなく、船の上でも楽しい一日になりました。

クリスティーナ、ダニエル。もうすぐ帰国だね。帰っても向こうでダイビング楽しんで。
ステイシー、ブルース。二人はもう少し沖縄にいるみたいだから、帰る前にもう一度くらい潜れたらいいね。
