Today we made it to Kamiyama, the east end of Kerama islands.
On the way out, the sea was very choppy. The boat went twice slower than usual.

The dive site is called Kamiyama Labyrinth. It's because there are lots of crevasses to go through, like a labyrinth. It's beautiful when the sun is shining because the sunlight is coming into crevasses.
Due to the rough sea, we did two dives there.

The guests are Michel and Ferdinand. Yes it is their second day. They dive in T-shirts and board shorts, just like going shopping.

We saw three turtles today.

Michel and Ferdinand are diving tomorrow too. The condition looks much better. We are gonna have some great dives for sure!!



今日はケラマ諸島の東端、神山島で潜ってきました。
まだ台風の影響で海が結構荒れていたので、船のスピードもいつもよりかなりゆっくり。

今日のポイント名は“神山ラビリンス”。ここにはたくさんのクレバス（リーフとリーフの間の裂け目）があり、その名の通り迷路・ラビリンスの様。そこをガンガン通って行くのが楽しいポイントです。また晴れている日はそのクレバスに差し込む太陽がとても綺麗。
今日はまだ海が荒れていたので、場所を移さずここで２ダイブしました。

ゲストは昨日から引き続き、ミシェルとファーディナンド。彼らはまるでコンビニにでも行くかのように、Tシャツと海パンでダイビングします。

今日は魚もたくさんいたけど、何より亀が３匹出現。近づいても気にもせず、昼寝してました。

明日はコンディションもグッと良くなりそう。そしてゲストは引き続き、ミシェルとファーディナンド。素晴らしいダイビングの予感。

Today we went to Gorilla Chop in Motobu.
This site gets busy when the north wind blows strongly, which is the typical sea condition in winter in Okinawa, and makes the sea rough, so under those condition this site will be almost the only place divable.
And today we had a strong north wind due to the typhoon so we went there.

The guests are Michel and Ferdinand from Luxemburg. They have been travelling in Japan almost for a month. They said so far so good!!

 We saw a baby cute cuttle fish.

And we saw a green turtle in the 1st dive. I was very excited because that was my first turtle out of more than 50 dives at this site. I never thought I could see it here, I forgot to take a photo, though.
Also the water temp dropped drastically!! I felt cold actually.



今日は本部のゴリラチョップで潜ってきました。
ここは北風が強く吹く冬に混むポイントです。北風が強く吹くと海は荒れやすくなり、なので冬はここしか潜れない、という事もよくあります。
今日はまだ真夏だけど台風１１号の影響で北風が強かったので、（通称）“ゴリチョ”で潜ってきました。

ゲストはルクセングルグから来てくれた、ミシェルとファーディナンドの2人組。２人はかれこれもう一ヶ月ほど日本を旅してて、とても気に入ってるみたい。

見れた魚たちは、コブシメの子供、ゴンズイ玉（玉のように群れて泳いでるからそう呼ばれる）等々。
そしてなんと亀を見た！！だから？と思うかもしれないけど、ここでの亀は珍しい（ハズ）。５０回以上潜って、今日初めて見た。一人興奮して、写真撮り忘れたけど。

北風の影響か水温がグッと下がってた。早くまた暖かくなれ。

Today we dove at Cape Maeda. The condition was a bit choppy due to the typhoon coming by, but it was very nice and calm underwater.

Today's guest was Miho from Okinawa. We have dove more than twenty dives together already. She recently bought a new camera so is keen on taking photos underwater.
We saw lots of nudi branches so here are some of them.

Just before finishing diving, there you go!! A white leaf scorpion fish!!
I have seen a pink one a couple of times here before, but it was my first time to see a white one. So cool.

We also saw shrimps, crabs, etc.

A typhoon is heading to Okinawa.  Hope it will not get close.

今日はファンダイビングで真栄田岬へ。やってくる台風の影響で少しパシャパシャしてましたが、水中はメチャメチャ穏やかでした。

ゲストは沖縄在住のミホちゃん。もう一緒に２０回以上潜ってます。最近新しいカメラを購入したので、写真に夢中。今日はマクロを合言葉に。

水中ではウミウシたくさん、小さなエビやカニ、とまさにマクロ盛りだくさんでした。
水から上がる寸前には白いハダカハオコゼも登場。ピンクは見た事あったけど、白はここでは初。ラッキー。

上がってみたらダイブタイムは９０分オーバー！！時間が経つのがあっという間。楽しかった。

台風、逸れろ。

Chilling Out In the Cave

Snorkelling  @ Cape Maeda "Blue Cave"

Today we went to Cape Maeda for snorkelling.
The sea was still choppy because of the typhoon passing by two days ago, so Cape Maeda was still the only point to dive or snorkel.

The guests were local girls, Mamie and Yuko. They were actually certified divers so were very comfortable in the water.

スノーケリング＠真栄田岬”青の洞窟”

今日はスノーケリングをしに真栄田岬に行ってきました。
まだ海は少し台風の影響が残っていて、真栄田岬がほとんど唯一のダイビングやスノーケリングが出来るポイントです。

今日のお客さんはまみえちゃんとゆうこちゃん。沖縄移住組で実はダイビングのライセンスも持っています。だから水慣れしていてうねりもへっちゃら。手のかからないゲストでした。

沖縄に住んではいるけど、真栄田岬は初めてらしく、魚の多さに興奮し、洞窟では大はしゃぎ。あっという間の一時間半。

遊んだ後はかき氷。満足な日曜日。

次回はダイビングしよう！！

Good Dive After the Typhoon

Intro Diving @ Cape Maeda "Blue Cave"

We had one intro diver today so went to Cape Maeda. There were still swells coming but it was totally divable.
The guest was a girl from Tokyo. She has done intro-diving a couple of times before so was very good underwater.
We saw a school of bat fish, anemone fishes, sea snakes, trumpet fishes, etc.

In the end we went into the cave. It was a bit crowded but was beautiful.

体験ダイビング＠真栄田岬”青の洞窟”

今日は台風のうねりが残る中、真栄田岬で体験ダイビングをしてきました。コンディションは台風後にしてはびっくりするくらいに良かったです。

ゲストは東京からお越しの女の子。以前に何度か体験ダイビングをした事があるらしく、とても上手。すいすい泳いでました。

水中では真栄田名物ツバメウオの群れや、クマノミ、ヘラヤガラ等、レギュラー陣が楽しませてくれました。

後半には洞窟にも入って、写真をパチリ。↑↑今日のお気に入りの一枚です。

最後はおまけに愛車に乗ってパチリ。

Hi there!!
Finally I got started a blog, yeeey!!
Well this is gonna be the first article so I wish I could talk about today's diving, but there was a typhoon passing here in Okinawa so we couldn't dive today. Actually two typhoons are coming one after another so we might not be able to dive for a while. What a start. I will keep my fingers crossed for that.
Anyway no rain lasts forever, the morning eventually comes after the night, so just wait till then.
The photos attached are from the Kerama islands trip last week. Good day.

記念すべき一回目のブログ。ブログなんて書くの何年ぶりだろう？
そんな大事な一回目だけど、ダイビングの記事は書けません。何故ならここ沖縄には今日台風が来てて潜れなかった。しかも今回は二つ続けてきててどうなる事だか。
